Services typically being with a no-cost meet and greet to see if ACT Behavior Services is the most appropirate provider for the potential clients needs. If it seems to be a good fit intake paperwork is completed and the initial assessment is scheduled once authorization is obtained (if necesssary). After interviewing care-givers, conducting observations, providing language assessment and/or adaptive beahvior scale assessment if needed, a treatment plan with goals is created and reviewed with the familly and/or care-givers. Within the treatment plan recommendations for on-going intervention are outlined. Therapy sessions can be anywhere from 1 hour weekly to 30+ hours weekly (if necessary to make adequate progress). Once the amount of therapy hours is determined and authorized, one to one intervention is scheduled. This can take place by the BCBA and/or the behavior technician, who works under the supervision and direction of the BCBA. The behavior technican works on skill acquision and behavior reduction (when necessary) and takes data on progress. The BCBA analyzes the data to determine on-going treatment planning. Team meetings and family meetings take place throughout the year to review the progress or make changes to the program. Goals are updated as needed throughout the year. ACT Behavior Services mastery criteria for goals is for the client to be able to generalize the skill in multiple environements acorss multiple people.
