Behavior Technician, Denver Metro Area

About the position: 

As a behavior technician you will be responsible for providing 1:1 behavioral therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in the clients natural environment. These clients are a range of ages from birth to adult who happen to have developmental disabilities. All therapies are evidence-based and you will be given thorough training and the oppurtunity for certiciation and advancement. Therpies are based on the prinicples of Applied Behavior Anlysis (ABA), which you will be trained thoroughly on. Our goal is to maximize the independence of the clients we are working with by systematically addressing social significant behaviors through Applied Behavior Analysis. We are looking for part time and full time behavior technicians who are able to work daytime hours (8am-3pm) and after school hours (3pm-6pm) Monday-Friday. 

Responsibilities:

The behavior technician will work under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and will:

-Build rapport with each cleint, creating and maintaining motivation
-Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programming with students
-Actively participate in improving the quality of the program 
-Create materials for instructional and treatment programs
-Record and graph data for behavior reduction and skill acquisition programming
-Assists in problem solving for programming in which change is not in the desired direction

-Attends and participates in team meetings
-Maintains designated client program books on paper or on iPad (checked out upon employment)

-Holds confidential all knowledge of clients and their families/or group home information 
-Physically able to perform duties of the position, and other duties as assigned
-Effectively implements crisis and physical intervention procedures
-Assists and/or implements daily hygiene and toileting programs for clients if appropriate

-Other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

18+ years old

Experience with people with special needs

Background check, CPR/First Aid
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be reliable, flexible, creative, and demonstrate strong organizational skills
Must have own transportation and a valid CO drivers license.

Must be able to document work in a timely fashion.

Must be able to demonstrate boundries and confidentiality 

Preferred (but not required):

Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis

Coursework or Bachelors Degree in human services, education, special education, ABA, or psychology
